Homemade Deep Conditioner Tutorial Pt1

posted on March 12, 2011 in homemade conditioner

Hello Youtubers, this is tutorial on how I made my homemade deep conditioner. If interested, you can modify this to how you want it. Emulsifying wax is not needed, but I do recommend using at least the Xantham Gum. I used the following ingredients:

1) Boil 10 oz of water and infuse with Burdock Root, Horsetail, Slippery Elm, Nettle and Marshmallow Root followed by 2 tbsp of Emulsifying Wax
2) Add the following oils:
3 oz Vatical Oil
1 oz Castor Oil
2oz EVOO
3) 3 oz Honey
4) Mix with a hand mixer and add Xantham Gum as needed

My 1st Homemade Shea Butter (Shampoo/Conditioner/lotion)

posted on in homemade shampoo

***Please read my blog for a full description of the conditioner and how to apply it on your hair***

http://naturallyizzy.blog.com/2010/12/27/shea-butter-hair-conditioner/

Shea Butter (100% Unrefined Shea Butter)

-Not only is Shea butter great for you skin but for your hair too! Shea butter helps repair dry, brittle, and damaged hair by adding moisture to the hair due to extreme hot or cold weathers.

Jojoba Oil

-Strengthens, shines, moisturize hair, and much more…

Coconut Oil (100% Coconut Oil)

-Gives your hair the extra shine (great for cold weather).

Purified Water

-The reason why I use purified water is because all of the impurities have been remove from the water.

Olive Oil

-Works wonders on the scalp, I know personally for me olive oil helped me prevent dandruff. Also works great by itself as a hot oil treatment when your scalp is dry, itchy or flaky.

Aloe Vera (Organic)

-This is great for moisturizing the hair, smooths scalp and prevent hair loss.

Homemade Lip Scrub: Tutorial

posted on September 20, 2010 in homemade scrub

I take PhobicPheebs idea and run with it!

You can make your own lip scrub to exfoliate the dead skin off your lips so they are sexy and smooth!

Ingredients:
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp Carmex or Vaseline
1/8 tsp (aprox) Lip balm
5 gram container or empty lip tube.

Put the sugar, carmex and lip balp in a small microwave safe dish and warm it up for about 10 to 20 seconds in the microwave. Don’t melt it completely, just soften it up.

Once its soft mix it into a gritty paste and then pack it into your container and let it cool.

The final product is thick and gritty…perfect for scrubbing your lips to a smooth sexy softness!!

Thanks Pheebs for the great idea. i hope you don’t mind that i changed your “recipe” a little!

2-Minute Homemade Lip Gloss/Conditioner (Without Heat or Electricity)

posted on August 22, 2010 in homemade conditioner

Custom lip gloss and conditioner for lazy girls on-the-go like me. No heat or electricity required. Easy on your wallet too!

IMPORTANT: Viewers who have concerns about the “ultramarines” issue should visit http://www.cosmeticsinfo.org/ingredient_details.php?ingredient_id=626 for more information.

Keep in mind that most synthetic and even “natural” makeup can be toxic to our skin. Consider that products labelled as not 100% “lip safe” shouldn’t then be okay for mucous membranes like our eyes, openings like our tear ducts, or our highly-absorbent organ–skin–in general. Yet we use them anyway. So before nitpicking whether something is “lip safe”, consider what products you’re putting on as a whole, not just whether or not it can be used in a localized area of your body.

To quote a few facts about ultramarines from the above site: “Scientific Facts: …The levels of heavy metals in Ultramarines are regulated by the FDA, and the small amounts that may eventually be in cosmetic or personal care products do not pose a risk to human health.”
