Homemade Deep Conditioner Tutorial Pt1

posted on in homemade conditioner

Hello Youtubers, this is tutorial on how I made my homemade deep conditioner. If interested, you can modify this to how you want it. Emulsifying wax is not needed, but I do recommend using at least the Xantham Gum. I used the following ingredients:

1) Boil 10 oz of water and infuse with Burdock Root, Horsetail, Slippery Elm, Nettle and Marshmallow Root followed by 2 tbsp of Emulsifying Wax
2) Add the following oils:
3 oz Vatical Oil
1 oz Castor Oil
2oz EVOO
3) 3 oz Honey
4) Mix with a hand mixer and add Xantham Gum as needed

I really enjoyed using this homemade product. This was actually meant to lighten the color of my hair but it turned out to be the best Deep Conditioner I’ve ever used or made. I absolutely reccomend anyone to try it. My hair felt free and bouncy afterwards, as well as very moisturized. I will make another video that’s clearer and shows my hair results better.
Thanks to chisellecouture for her amazing results with the Cinnamon hair lightner. You can see the amazing results she got by checking out this link to her video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYl8iPZSMtI&feature=PlayList&p=BAB9E55EFD074833&index=13

favorite product for my natural hair :wash and go results

posted on August 22, 2010 in shampoo recipe

my new favorite products are actually just a shampoo and conditioner.

Paul mitchell instant moisture shampoo: for me it helps with definition, adds shine/reveals natural shine. i do not detangle with shampoo ever!! that’s a recipe for disaster. i use it only to cleanse my hair and scalp and save any detangling for the conditioner.

Rusk sensories calm conditioner: for me it defines, elongates/less shrinkage when used with comb then finger combed through (if i use a denman type brush then i have more shrinkage) , adds/reveals natural shine/sheen.

no other product added
