what is the best homemade conditioner?

posted on December 9, 2010 in homemade conditioner

i need one that is a deep conditioner that will penetrate the hair shaft please

Mayonnaise is no doubt a great conditioner for the hair. Massage mayonnaise throughout your hair for few minutes and then rinse thoroughly with cool water. It will make your hair look a bit shinier and give it more strength.

To achieve an exceptional shine rinse your hair with beer. Lemon juice from 2-3 lemons may also be applied to achieve a beautiful shine.

To get rid of an itchy scalp, you can either apply yogurt for several minutes or just use rosemary essential oil on the scalp. With regular use, they will remove any itchiness or irritation that you may be dealing with.

If your hair is dry from using too much shampoo, try this treatment Add 1 part of vinegar to 3 parts of water and apply it to your hair and washing it thoroughly afterwards. This will get rid of all of the impurities in your hair and makes it easier to manage.

Worried about hair growth? Use essential oils like ylang ylang. Add a small amount of oil to your shampoo and wash your hair with it. This will strengthen your hair and promote hair growth. It also acts as a rejuvenator.

How about creating homemade hair conditioners. One example of a nourishing hair conditioners is to use three tbsp of coconut oil and a half cup of jojoba oil. Apply this on the hair for 15 minutes and then wash your hair with shampoo. You will find your hair much shinier and healthier due to the jojoba oil.

Olive oil can also be used on dry hair to relieve dryness and breakage. Try it on the ends of your hair. Olive oil is one of the best homemade remedies for all types of hair problems.

Detangling Hair With homemade Conditioner

posted on November 4, 2010 in homemade conditioner

Detangling hair with a homemade conditioner. The batch of conditioner I am using in this video is my first attempt to make the homemade conditioner so it is grainy and not very smooth. However I have now learned to make a thick smooth conditioner.
A big thank you to Angela YT channel: arcamp83 for sharing her “DIY Conditioner” video!
I added vegetable glycerin(e) to my recipe and I also experimented with the percentages of cetyl alcohol and BTMS to come up with a super thick conditioner. Angela also adds vegetable glycerin(e) to her conditioner, however her video demonstrates how to make a conditioner that matches Kinky Curly Knot Today so she left out the vegetable glycerin(e) for the making of that conditioner.
I will me making a video about the homemade conditioner with tips and details that will help explain and demonstrate why and what is used to make the conditioner.
