Soapless natural shampoo recipe?

posted on July 30, 2010 in shampoo recipe

I would like to make something from herbs or plants or something (preferably a food item so it will be covered on foodstamps) that will clean my hair, but I don’t want to add castile soap.(simply because it is expensive and hard for me to obtain)

I remember some flower or herb that works well in cleaning hair by itself, but I’m not sure what it was. =x

I know of baking soda, and corn starch/ corn meal. (used as a dry ‘shampoo’)

Aloe is good to wash hair and chamomile

you can scrape off the ‘jelly’ from the aloe leaf and then put it in a blender add a bit of water and a bit of rosemary oil or you can use the herb form of rosemary (or substitute it with the chamomile) blend it all together and you got yourself a natural soap less shampoo

Do you have a good homemade foot scrub recipe?

Please share. Thanks!

Take either salt or sugar, mix it with just enough olive oil to coat it, and add whatever scents you like.

I’ve heard eggs or mayonnaise is good for your hair. Leave the mayo in for a couple minutes? you may want to check this out before hand though…
You could also try some natural oils from Bath and Body Works to restore hairs moisture and nutrients and help strengthen it and give it a nice healthy shine.

review related literature of how to make shampoo using guava leaves?

posted on in how to make shampoo

There are many ways to make shampoo using herbs. The most notable is by grinding up the leaves, or making a tincture, and adding it to a soapy mixture.

Either way you may wish to rethink the project.

Supposing you go ahead, materials you will need include but are not limited to:

- Containers for the extract, the soap, the final product, etc…
- Some form of gentle soapy mixture (I’m not sure if this counts as cheating). DO NOT USE DISH SOAP. Dish soap will dry out your hair and skin – IT SHOULD NOT BE USED.
- Guava leaves
- A mortar and pestle (If you plan on grinding)
- Some form of stirring rod

What shampoo can make my hair smoother for a guy?

posted on in make shampoo

For a while now the shampoo I’ve been using is Head and Shoulders. I don’t really have a dandruff problem but the stuff cleans my hair and it has an all right smell to it.
But every time I use it it tends to make my hair dry looking. I want a shampoo that can maybe give it more moisture and make it look smoother as well.

If you use regular hand soap like Dial or something in a little squirt bottle about every 2-3 days it should make it look smoother. I use it and my hair is really smooth, and also in between uses I use Biolage Hydrating Shampoo… and yes I’m a guy, so I know your problem and this works.

Homemade Conditioner and Chick Flicks?

posted on in homemade conditioner

my friend and i were gonna have total girled out day tomorrow.. ya know.. the chick flicks… the nail polish.. the face mask… the whole deal.

what are some good recipes [exact recipes] for some homemade conditioner… preferably ones that make damaged hair better [you know what straighteners can do].

also, what are some good movies that are total girlie ones.. dont say the notebook, mean girls, the hot chick, or legally blonde movies. seen em all haha.

Mash up an avocado or two, depending on how much hair you have, with a couple of teaspoons of olive oil. Leave on for awhile. Avocado makes a good face mask too.

Good chick flick: Tyler Perry’s Daddy’s Little Girls.

How do I make a shampoo cap to lighten up my hair color? It’s got too dark an ash color to it.?

posted on in how to make shampoo

beauty salon. The beautician made a shampoo cap of bleach and shampoo left it on for five minutes and it worked perfectly, taking out a the harsh ash color.

actually there’s several things you can try @ home one is just pure 100% lemon juice left on for a little bit. Another is a mixture of hydrogen peroxide [ like u use to clean a wound with ] & baking soda mixed together & left own for as lite as u want your hair to get.
